2026 Summer Events
Each summer, IHT hosts fundraising events to sustain and grow our work at Island Heritage Trust. This year, Aragosta will host our Summer Benefit on Sunday, July 19.
Then, on Wednesday, August 19, Burnt Cove Boil will be hosting Concert on the Cove (with a lobster dinner!)

2026 Summer Benefit at Aragosta

Please join us for a celebratory summer gathering in support of Island Heritage Trust’s work to steward the land and connect with community on Deer Isle. Overlooking beautiful Barred Island, you will enjoy elegant and delicious fare at Aragosta from renowned Chef Devin Finigan and her team. The event will include remarks and a live auction. Attendance will directly support IHT’s stewardship and educational efforts.
Honorary Preserve Stewards
During the event, we will be honoring our 2026 Honorary Preserve Stewards. These Honorary Preserve Stewards have generously committed to gifting a donation that will provide care for a specific IHT preserve throughout the 2026 Fiscal Year. We are so grateful for their amazing support.
Live Auction
The event will feature a lively auction hosted by the amazing Kitty Porto. Up for auction this year are several exciting and meaningful experiences, including:
- A farm-to-table dinner for six at East Forty Farm,
- A cupping demonstration (a tasting method used to evaluate aroma, flavor, and body) at 44 North for up to four people,
- Commission of a custom plein-air oil painting from artist Jill Hoy,
- An afternoon or sunset cruise for up to six people on Catherine and Andrew Washburns’ 36-foot Penbo Offshore Cruiser, the Eider.
