Volunteering is a way of life at IHT

Volunteers are essential to the success of IHT. If you believe that land protection is important, please consider becoming a volunteer.

We have interesting possibilities in all sorts of sizes! We need volunteers to:

Help in the office with organizing materials, writing, public relations, and working on projects
Serve as an easement steward to monitor easement compliance and do site visits
Work as Island Stewards making regular visits through the summer
Do trail maintenance and cleanups
Be a speaker in our Walks & Talks Program
Serve on one of our committees – we are currently looking for members to be an active part of our Campaign, Finance, and Communications Committees
Engage yourself and others in fund-raising throughout the year. Dream up ways for us to fulfill our mission in new and exciting ways! Change your life and many others’ lives – be a volunteer!
